Torres del Paine - W trek

Torres del Paine is a beautiful national park in the Chilean Patagonia. you can do a number of hiking treks. naturally I picked the easier W trek - only 5 days and 4 nights

day 1: the only day with bad weather

first was a hike to glacier grey

i was so cold in my 8 layers...i wore basically everything in my backpack

I had to carry all my food, but you can just drink the water from the streams so I didn't have to lug around H20

glacier grey was more like 50 shades of blue

day 2: hike back to where i started and past to the next campsite

it was beautiful weather and much warmer

the entire park is stunning

you can find beauty in every direction

the sunsets over the lakes were spectacular

day 3: hike to a viewpoint behind torres del paine

the torres from behind

day 4: hike to torres del paine

yolo polo

Polo is an Argentine tradition
so I spent a day learning the sport
we started out watching a match
we had to throw in the ball for each new chukka

and ring the bell at the end of the chukka
after the match we met the horses (i'm clearly a horse whisperer)
and suited up for a game

which we took really seriously thanks to the wine
I was a number 3 (the tactical thinker of the team)

I am a polo master, scored multiple goals

really actually just one (we lost)

but the best day nevertheless!
