Yungas Road, known as death road for how dangerous it is, is the old road from La Paz to Coroico (61 km)

uyuni!! : day 3

we made it to the salar (salt flat) on the third day

we woke up at like 430 am to see the sunrise over the flat

which is huge...over 4k sq miles

it's like another planet

then we visited Incahuasi island in the middle of the flat

sadly there was no water so we didn't get the cool reflection effect, but we did have (too much) fun with optical illusions!

 

it was without a doubt one of the best days of my trip
