glacier Perito Moreno is one of the few expanding glaciers in Patagonia |
it's huge. it has an average height of 74m (which is like 240 ft) |
it looks like it belongs on another planet location: Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina |

Torres del Paine is a beautiful national park in the Chilean Patagonia. you can do a number of hiking treks. naturally I picked the easier W trek - only 5 days and 4 nights |
day 1: the only day with bad weather |
first was a hike to glacier grey |
i was so cold in my 8 layers...i wore basically everything in my backpack |
I had to carry all my food, but you can just drink the water from the streams so I didn't have to lug around H20 |
glacier grey was more like 50 shades of blue |
day 2: hike back to where i started and past to the next campsite |
it was beautiful weather and much warmer |
the entire park is stunning |
you can find beauty in every direction |
the sunsets over the lakes were spectacular |
day 3: hike to a viewpoint behind torres del paine |
the torres from behind |
day 4: hike to torres del paine |
